Found an interesting musical box today. Several of the party were
attacked by un-dead. Currently stopped at French border, work
continues to go slowly. I barely get things unpacked these days
before we have to scurry off to someplace new.

Miss Whitnell can be such a pill at times. Edward and Miss Sinclair
were out in the garden working on their naturalism sketches, when
Miss Sinclair suddenly had some sort of fit. Reasoning that she
had not ingested any opiates and that she was not having a stroke,
I reached the conclusion that she was being haunted. Edward continued
to draw the garden fairy that was posing for us. After a few moments
the Fairy who's name is Birds-Eye asked Edward which witch was
in charge. After a brief discussion Edward went and fetched Miss
Whitnell. I must say if I knew the row it was going to cause I
would have stopped him. Schmidt had been prowling around the building
last night and while he couldn't gain entrance the fairies thought
we should know. Miss Whitnell chose that moment to reconvene parliament
and everyone was soon in the garden and the beef was flung fast
and thick. Everyone knew that something should be done and several
of us had workable plans but, most of them involved leaving the
consul. Which Miss Whitnell was right against. She loudly declared
that no one was to go forth, then wanted to send a message to
the watchers. She came up with the plan to send one of the garden
fairies with a note and declared the matter done.

I am glad to report that Sir Cosmo took matters in hand yesterday
and delivered the note to the watchers himself. Schmidt attacked
the party on their way back to the consulate but he was driven
off. George's face purpled up nicely. But soon afterwards we tracked
the bludger to his den and gave him the boat. We are currently
waiting till dusk to wooster up one of the large Prussian rail
cannons.

I have made wonderful progress on several projects. The sinkable
Namaste framework is almost done. I have made an effort to engage
Miss Sinclair more. She has been on edge since her episode on
the Twenty Second.

Admiral LeCoq stopped by for a quick tea and to invite the household
to tour the Areo fleet. I took the opportunity to sound him out
about the Arronax issue. He seemed to be agreeable.

I just don't know what I am going to do with Miss Whitnell, I
had just gotten Miss Sinclair back to a normal state of mind.
When she has to go and lock Miss Sinclair and Mr Frazer in a room
togather alone! I can hear the shuffling of paper and the tell-tale
sounds of someone who does not want anyone to know they are crying
coming from her room. Something must be done.
