
June 9, 1870
Edward escorted Miss Sinclair and Stuart
to the train station they are off on holiday. Work proceeds on
the sinkable boat. Edward has to go gather larva tonight.
June 11,1870
Received summons to appear in court
Sir Cosmo says I must go. Went to see Play with Sir Cosmo, couldn't
find the demon anywhere.
June 12, 1870
Had an evening off went to see Mr Brown,
got the full measure several of the guards and staff got Mr Browns
full measure too.
June 14, 1870
Went to court to testify about the
incident on the docks involving Zanthus and his band of bushwhackers.
Namaste left yesterday I miss her dearly.
June 16, 1870
The hull of the sinkable boat is just
is nearly done, I should be able to do a watertight test in sometime
in the next few days.
June 18,1870
Sir Cosmo's best chum in the whole
world arrived today, they are as alike as two pea in a pod. Mr
Balderstoke or Icky as he likes to be called, arrived just in
time to witness a spectacular leak in the sinkable boats hull.
While the water drained away Sir Cosmo, Edward and Mr Balderstoke
sat around the carriage house chatting about their pet projects.
June 20.1870
Edward spent most of the day at the
headquarters of the B&C Great Locomotive Co. Icky and Sir
Cosmo had a meeting. They were both very interested in working
on pump and power plant designs for the sinkable boat when they
left.
June 21, 1870
I saved todays weekly companion for
Miss Namastie. It has the next chapter of the kid rocket story
in it.
June 23, 1870
It's Derby day, Edward had to be reminded
several time that it's not proper to supplement his income from
the pockets of others. He did prevent Mr Balderstoke from haveing
his pockets buzzed.
June 25, 1870
Went to see Undersea boat 5 today the
repairs we started on the trip back have been finished and she
has had several test runs in Thames.
June 26, 1870
The pumps for the sinkable boat arrived
today I wanted to get started installing them right away but Sir
Cosmo insisted that Edward finished his lessons before letting
us start.
June 27, 1870
Miss Namaste arrived home yesterday
I am glad she is back.
June 28, 1870
Edward visited Mr Rand tonight he almost
got caught twice on the way in but managed to scarper before the
jacks closed ranks on him. Mr Brown will probably be most vexed.
June 30, 1870
Word from the coast today the Anti-Aerofrigate
Rocket System worked!
Dr Wilson sent Edward a post asking him to begin working on some
new pattern engines for the barrage systems. I spent most of the
day working on Miss Namaste's wedding present.
July 1,1870
Found a odd entry in one of Miss Whitnell's
books it refers to a metal called Uru which "Contains lightning
inside it." obviously a primitive battery, but it may be
the solution Edward and I are looking for.
July 4, 1870
Dr Wilson took Edward and Owen out
today to "test" some of the new rocket battery patterns.
He babbled on about it being independence day the entire time,
I am afraid he might have hit his head recently.
July 5, 1870
The pumps are installed Icky and Owen
helped a lot.
July 7, 1870
Went to visit Mr Havershim today he
loaned me two books on early chemist.
July 10, 1870
While Namaste was out on errands tody
Edward and Icky worked on her weding present, they had a heated
discussion about the th power plant for it.
July 12, 1870
Spent the day doing errands with G
and the ladies of the household.
July 13, 1870
Meeting of the Radicals tonight, We
are meeting in our usual meeting place but this time with the
permission of the owner. I must remember to thank Mr Cuthbert.
July 15, 1870
The engagement dinner party is tonight,
too many things to do.
