It took two day before I got a moments peace to go see Mr Brown. The visit went remarkably wells . We discussed tactics and managed to find time for a couple games of chess. There never seems enough time in the day to just sit down and play a quiet game of chess..

It is about time Sir Cosmo finally admitted that his feelings for Miss Namaste he formally proposed. This newest development requires something special for both of them , I think I will use the gold watch housing for Sir Cosmo.

I am so mad I could just scream. The day started off normally enough we all went off to see the show, it was a selection of operatic pieces put on by a group of french monarchists. I stayed at the coach with Salmalin and we had a delightful conversation about music in general and the various types of opera in particular while I worked upon some pocket watch mechanics. Then we moved the carriages over to the reception hall. We then encounters a man who's resemblance to grandfather was so striking, that I knew it must be a relative . Of which relation I can only infer from incomplete evidence but my leading theory is that it was my father. The rest of the party chose that moment to come rushing out of the building. Apparently the reception was a bit tiresome so when word was received that there might be trouble several member of the group positively ran for the door. After a brief discussion with Sir Cosmo we decided that the auxiliary gearing would not be needed. We ended up in front of the Black Lion a pub that provided cover for one of grandfathers sanctuaries. The there erupted a squabble or it would have been if one person could squabble by herself. Miss Whitnell started to quibble about every thing I sat upon my seat while she berated every idea that was proposed it was fascinating to watch. I scarcely noticed when Salmalin slipped off his seat beside me and went over to talk to Miss Namaste. About three pages of Ships of Historical Design later it was decided that Mrs Cuthbert could safely attempt to scry into the Lair safely. She then described the situation as it unfolded in her mystical eye whe she mentioned Salmalin I was off my seat and in the alley I was beaten only by Cousin George who knew the rick of opening the door and r Wilson. The fighting was chaos incarnate as most fights are. When everything finally settled 6 of the thuggees lay dead upon the ground Salmalin Had a stab wound through his shoulder and one Master Tandu had broken through the back wall and fled into the sewers. We quickly discovered the entrance to a hidden room grandfathers office here. While searching in I came across a box of some finely made tools Miss Whitnell then started ranting about how they should all be melted down. Can't she see how each of those tools were hand crafted some of them by fine jewelry makers. She then had the sheer gall to order me to not leave the house without telling her Miss Sinclair and a total stranger I was leaving. Well my acid solution is almost ready and the wax has been hard for hours so I think I will start the process and go see how Salmalin is fairing.
