We are off! This time on a sea voyage. We are taking the sinkable
boat as well as Dr Wilson's underwater rockets, dangerous things
I must say. Edward has been going over the plans and has corrected
several flaws and Sir Cosmo is assisting so there is hope that
they will preform adequately during the next field test.

It was a busy day today and Edward's work on the sinkable boat
has not progressed as far as we had hoped to achieve by this point
in the trip. We have managed to replace the pump and with much
effort remove the mainspring. After much work in the ships machine
shop, the electric motor is now in place. The problem is distractions
let's see first came Miss Sinclair who insisted that Edward stop
working and go to his room. Then there is the trouble with a lifter
or lifters as both me and Edward believe. A very expensive clock
was removed from the Captain's quarters and smuggled in Lt Wooster's
room. Apparently in an attempt to discredit him, I am not sure
why they went to the trouble, since he does such a fine job of
it himself. This is almost assuredly the work of one of the servants
to the officers. The next bit of work was a small silver brush
and mirror set removed from Lt Spode's room and delivered to Miss
Namaste's bed tied up in a small ragged ribbon. This is the work
of a secret admirer, possibly one of the younger laundry men or
one of the cabin boys. The last distraction was some sort of attack,
a green light showed up right off the bow of the ship it put a
charge on the ship like it was a giant condenser bottle. Miss
Namaste told it to go away in Hindi and it did, she then fainted.
Edward tried to catch her, while she falls often it is usually
onto things more forgiving than steel deck plates. With Salmalin's
and Sir Cosmo's help she avoided that fate, thank goodness. She
soon recovered from her faint. Edward used the distraction to
get several uninterrupted hours worth done on the sinkable boat

Edward's theories about the thefts have been born out it was a
cabin boy who was bringing Miss Namaste's gifts. Unfortunately
the gifts he was giving her didn't belong to him, Edward soon
caught him in the act and turned him over to Sir Cosmo. He swears
by all that is holy that he didn't take the clock though so we
have another person to look out for. Edward finally got Sir Cosmo
and Dr Wilson to look over the modifications, he has made on the
sinkable boat and the underwater rocket. Sir Cosmo had some suggestions
for the sinkable boat. Most of them make perfect sense and the
one's that are puzzling might turn out to be useful. Dr Wilson
was off his feed today and spent quite a bit of time near the
railing but his input on the rocket was exactly what Edward needed
to solve three minor and one major problem. After lunch there
was a small shooting match Edward joined in enough to keep his
skills sharp. Miss Sinclair became very upset when she saw Edward
practicing not wishing to make her any more upset he stopped.
