I took a risk today--I revealed myself to several members of the
league. Sir Cosmo all but adopted Edward today. He has been so
nice to both of us even though he didn't know it in my case I
feel like such a scoundrel hiding in the corners all these months.

Not much time to write today we field test the sinkable boat tomorrow!
May 7, 1870
Success! The boat not only floats, but the propulsion system works
as Edward envisioned it. On the way back from the workshop Edward
stopped an picked up a better pump. The one we had been using
used to pump milk around a dairy. He already has me working on
the numbers for the new pump. They look good, perhaps a 40% increase
in power output.
