23 April
Benton,
At your earliest convenience, I would like to meet with Sir Cosmo
Cowperthwaite, Mr. Quaid O’Flaherty and you. I feel if we can ask the
right questions and poke at the answers and facts, we may be able to
get a better idea of what happened on the Heather Bell… and perhaps
even more about the Emma
Biddle!
Please make arrangements with Sir Cosmo and I will invite Mr. Quaid to
London for the meeting.

My Dear Lady Cowperthwaite:
Knowing how much you enjoy a good ‘prank’, I have stumbled upon some
information that might become quite a set-up to put the tabloids in
quite a turmoil! I am not sure what you can do with the information,
but I feel compelled to share it with you, specifically.
The three Atlas O’Flahertys! I do assume here that you have learned of
Mr. O’Grady, a young man who looks like our own Seamus, being in
London? Also, I just helped Mr. Quaid O’Flaherty out of jail here in
Liverpool and hope to bring him back to London to help me with further
inquiries regarding a case. This could be quite interesting, no?
I will probably regret this once Helen learns of my contribution, but
just imagine what London will be with The Three Atlases?!
Your servant,
Simon MacGreggor
