May 1872

Thursday, 2 May: The Half-Penny Marvel Library publishes chapter five of "Atlas Adrift! A castaway adventure," in which Atlas, Billy Callahan, and Eamon, are picked up by a freighter, only to discover it is under the command of Dr Destiny.

Thursday, 9 May: The Half-Penny Marvel Library publishes chapter six of "Atlas Adrift! A castaway adventure" which ends with Atlas, Billy, Eamon, Dr Destiny, and Max on an iceberg after a collison and sinking.

Thursday, 16 May: The Half-Penny Marvel Library publishes chapter seven of "Atlas Adrift! A castaway adventure" which begins with the heroes and the villains floating on an iceberg in pea soup fog, with Max standing on the highest point of the iceberg, baning a pot with a ladle and calling out to warn ships. Several comical battles of wits between Atlas and Dr Destiny ensue. By the end of the chapter, the iceberg has melted to the size of a small raft, but smoke, perhaps from a steam ship, is visible on the horizon.

Thursday, 23 May: The Half-Penny Marvel Library publishes chapter eight of "Atlas Adrift! A castaway adventure" in which Atlas, Eamon, Billy, Dr. Destiny, and Max are rescued by a passing ship, which unfortunately is owned by a Prussian Count who holds grudges against both Atlas and Dr. Destiny. Atlas is forced to work with Dr. Destiny to save his friends. Meanwhile, the Weekly Companion prints chapter one of "Kid Rocket and the Devil Duelist!" in which the Great Leslie, Kid Rocket, and others are investigating the mysterious theft of a gold shipment in Nevada when they encounter a gunman who appears immune to bullets!

Thursday, 30 May: The Half-Penny Marvel Library publishes the thrilling conclusion of "Atlas Adrift! A castaway adventure" in which Atlas and Dr. Destiny defeat the evil Prussian Count and his minions, and successfully reach the port of New Orleans. While over in the Weekly Companion may be found chapter two of "Kid Rocket and the Devil Duelist!"

Thursday, 27 June: The Weekly Companion prints chapter six of "Kid Rocket and the Devil Duelist!" Meanwhile, the cover of the Half-Penny Marvel Library features a picture of Atlas O'Flaherty fighting a group of men armed with clubs and knives, with the words "Atlas in New Orleans!" Inside the magazine, one finds chapter one of a story entitled, "Atlas O'Flaherty and the Mystery of the Golden Coffin." Inside, Atlas, Billy, and Eamon are the guests of kindly Father O'Halloran, an old family friend. Father O'Halloran is a noted Orientalist assisting a local museum translate the writings on a set of artifacts brought back from Egypt. Unfortunately, someone breaks into Father O'Halloran's library, steals his notes and papers, and dastardly wounds the elderly cleric, leaving him in a coma. Atlas sets out to find the miscreants.


July 1872

Thursday, 4 July: In the pages of the Half-Penny Marvel Library one finds chapter two of "Atlas O'Flaherty and the Mystery of the Golden Coffin" in which Atlas gets a look at the ancient golden Egyptian sarcophagus and some of the other artifacts. Outside the museum, he is jumped by a group of "dusky-skinned" ruffians who are much more difficult to fight than they ought. And the Weekly Companion prints chapter seven of "Kid Rocket and the Devil Duelist!"

Thursday, 11 July: The Half-Penny Marvel Library prints chapter three of "Atlas O'Flaherty and the Mystery of the Golden Coffin" in which the ancient Egyptian sarcophagus is stolen, Father O'Halloran's condition worsens, and Atlas meets a mysterious woman. And the Weekly Companion prints chapter eight of "Kid Rocket and the Devil Duelist!"

Thursday, 18 July: In the pages of the Half-Penny Marvel Library one finds chapter four of "Atlas O'Flaherty and the Mystery of the Golden Coffin." While in the Weekly Companion is found chapter nine of "Kid Rocket and the Devil Duelist!"

Thursday, 1 August: The Half-Penny Marvel Library publishes chapter six of "Atlas O'Flaherty and the Mystery of the Golden Coffin" in which Atlas locates the hideout of the cultists, but is unable to prevent them escaping, with the Egyptian sarcophagus, down an underground river. And the Weekly Companion prints chapter eleven of "Kid Rocket and the Devil Duelist!"

Thursday 15 August: Mrs Salmalin receives a letter from Mrs Frazer. Also, the Half-Penny Marvel Library publishes chapter eight of "Atlas O'Flaherty and the Mystery of the Golden Coffin" in which Atlas finds the new hideout of the cultists, defeats the guards, and upon hearing strange knocking inside the sarcophagus, pries open the lid only to be confronted by a cursed mummy!

Thursday, 22 August: One finds in the pages of the Half-Penny Marvel Library chapter nine of "Atlas O'Flaherty and the Mystery of the Golden Coffin."

Thursday, 29 August: The Half-Penny Marvel Library publishes chapter ten of "Atlas O'Flaherty and the Mystery of the Golden Coffin" in which Atlas fights the supernatural mummy to a standstill, but the mysterious woman and the remaining cultists get the drop on him.
